Meet Basker: a content management system and website builder focused on live events.
Basker is delivered as software as a service, with managed hosting and continuous platform improvements. It integrates with ticketing systems and other platforms, and can be customised or extended to suit different teams.
It is born out of Made Media, a digital agency working with arts and cultural organisations, and builds on Made’s experience of designing and delivering complex websites for the live events and cultural space. We have spent the last 12 months first undertaking deep discovery into the state of content management systems, and then building out Basker to meet the needs of live events creators.
Basker supports three routes to website delivery. Teams can build with no-code tools, work with developers through GraphQL and REST APIs, or create a custom theme while Basker handles hosting and backend configuration. Custom themes give front-end developers control over the site's look and feel through a flexible templating language. We welcome developers working in arts and culture who want to build websites with Basker.
