SVG Uploads, WAV Audio, and In-Library Playback

Logos arrived as blurry rasters, WAV files bounced on upload, and checking an audio file meant downloading it first. The media library now accepts SVG and WAV uploads and adds a play button to every audio file, so your assets go in at full quality and you can hear a recording without leaving the admin. Animated WebP images also stay animated after resizing and cropping.

Sharper logos, richer audio

SVG files upload directly to the media library, so logos and icons stay crisp at any size instead of being flattened into a fixed-resolution image. On the audio side, common WAV variants now join MP3 in the accepted formats, and each audio upload shows a play and pause control on its card, so editors can confirm they have the right recording before placing it on a page.

Animation survives every transformation

Animated WebP images previously lost their motion when the image pipeline resized or cropped them. Transformed variants now stay animated, so a looping visual keeps looping at every size it appears on your site. There is no migration required, existing uploads simply pick up the new behaviour.
