A Single Field Controls What Appears In Search
The Show in Search field now controls whether pages, events, and other records appear in both Basker search and external search engines.
The Show in Search field now determines whether pages, events, people, and other public records appear in both Basker search and external search engines. Noindex metadata is emitted automatically when content is hidden.
One decision covers both surfaces
Previously, controlling internal search and external search indexing required separate settings. Now a single field covers both: if Show in Search is off, the record is absent from Basker search results and carries the noindex signal for search engines.
Common use cases
This is useful for private landing pages, staff-only policy pages, hidden event records, and content that should remain reachable by URL but absent from search results.
