Smarter Related Posts on Blog Pages
Blog post pages can now build their own related-reading section automatically, showing posts that share a category with the one being read.
A "you might also like" section at the end of a post keeps readers on your site, but keeping it relevant used to mean curating a collection for every category by hand. Post pages can now build that section themselves: switch on the new category matching option and the block shows posts sharing a category with the one being read, most recent first, so a blueprint configured once serves every post on the site.
One setting instead of many collections
The new "match current post's categories" option sits alongside the smart collection picker on post-sourced collection blocks. With it enabled, the section stays relevant as your writers publish, with no further curation. The option is off by default, so existing sites behave exactly as before until an editor turns it on.
Never the post you are reading
Related-post sections also always leave out the post they appear on, however the block is populated, and the block fetches an extra record so your configured count still fills. A limit of three shows three genuine recommendations, every time.
