Venues
Manage the venues your events take place at
A venue is a place where events happen. Create it once, then reuse it across any number of events and performances. Each venue has its own public page on the site.
If your organization runs from a single venue, you will likely need only one venue. Festivals, touring companies, and presenters with multiple stages will need several.
What a venue contains
- A name for the venue.
- A description: a short plain-text summary of the venue.
- A website link, if the venue has its own site.
- An address: country, address line 1, city, and postal code are required. Address line 2 and state or region are optional.
- A directions link to a map or route.
- An image for the venue's page.
- An optional layout of content blocks for richer page content.
Linking a venue to an event
Each event has a primary venue. Set it when you edit the event's details.
If a single event instance happens at a different venue from the event's primary one (a touring date, an alternate location for a runout), set the venue override on that instance. See Event instances.
