Use the slide builder

You use the slide builder for both templates and finished slides. Select the slide, a zone, a group, or a block to change the controls shown in the inspector.

Arrange the slide

A slide contains one or more zones. Each zone holds blocks and has its own layout, background, border, and content link.

Use the zones and blocks tree to:

• Select an item precisely when blocks overlap on the canvas.
• Drag blocks into a different order or zone.
• Expand or collapse groups and zones.
• Double-click a name to rename it so the structure is easier to understand.
• Open an item's context menu for relevant edit actions.

The slide-level Zone layout control can replace the current preset. Review the whole design after changing it because blocks may move into a different zone.

Add and group blocks

Drag a block from the palette into a zone. You can also move blocks between zones and groups, nest them, and reorder them. A Group is a container for arranging several child blocks together, with its own direction, alignment, spacing, background, and border.

Use groups for patterns such as an icon beside a label, a title above a date, or grouped venue information.

You can edit Text and Heading blocks directly on the canvas. Select a run of text to override its font, size, emphasis, underline, or color.

Use the inspector

The available controls depend on what you select.

Slide controls

At slide level you can change the theme, zone layout, branding logo, background, padding, gap, and slide-wide content link. A slide made from a template keeps its template-owned theme and layout controls restricted. Its branding and linked content remain editable.

Zone controls

At zone level you can adjust direction, distribution, alignment, wrapping, overlay, blur, border, corners, padding, gap, and animation. You can also set the background color or media, and the content linked to that zone.

Groups have similar layout and appearance controls. Zone and group animations include slide and fade options with controls for speed, delay, and stagger.

Block controls

Blocks expose their own content fields plus relevant design controls. Depending on the block, these may include:

• Width, height, and margin
• Typography and text alignment
• Fill, background, and border
• Opacity and corner radius
• Image fit and focal point

Background images and video

The slide and individual zones can use background media. Choose an image or video from the media library. Set its focal point where available, and use an overlay when text needs more contrast.

Video blocks start with autoplay, loop, and muted enabled. Keeping autoplay video muted avoids common browser playback restrictions on unattended displays.

Copy, paste, and undo

When focus is not inside a text field, the builder supports familiar keyboard shortcuts:

Use Delete or Backspace to remove the selected item. The canvas toolbar can show or hide zone outlines, and preview or replay the rendered animation. It can also change zoom or fit the whole slide into the workspace.

Save and exit safely

Select Save before previewing the result elsewhere. If you try to exit with unsaved changes, the builder interrupts you. Choose to save and exit, leave without saving, or return to editing.

For a template-based slide, check both the builder design and the linked-content fields on the slide. The builder controls appearance. The slide supplies the real content for dynamic slots.
