Text & image
Pair a heading and body text alongside an image in a two-column section.
The Text & Image block places writing and a picture side by side in a single row — a heading, one or more paragraphs, and an image in the next column. Use it to introduce a topic next to a supporting photo, explain a programme alongside an illustration, or break up a long page with an image-led section. For a standalone picture, use a Media block; for running text on its own, use a Text block.
Content
The Content tab holds the words and the image.
- Heading — the section's title. Set its level with Heading tag: H2, H3 (default), H4, H5, or H6. A lower-numbered tag is larger and signals more importance on the page.
- Body — the paragraphs that sit under the heading. Each one is its own entry, so you can reorder or remove them independently. Paragraphs are plain text; for formatted writing use a separate Text block.
- Image — choose an existing image or upload a new one to fill the other column.
- Fit — how the image fills its space: Cover (default), Contain, or Fill. Cover crops to fill the column; Contain fits the whole image inside it.
Layout
The Layout tab arranges the two columns.
- Image side — which side the picture sits on: Left or Right (default). The text takes the opposite column.
- Image width — how much of the row the picture occupies: 1/3, 1/2 (default), or 2/3. The text fills the remaining space.
- Container width — how wide the whole section stretches: Narrow (default), Page, or Full.
Shared controls
Beyond its own content and layout, the Text & Image block uses the standard block controls.
- Spacing and padding — adjust the padding (including horizontal spacing) and margin around the section. Top and bottom padding start at 32 pixels.
- Colour scheme in blocks — set the background and text colours for the section.
- Analytics keys — tag the section for reporting.
Example
To introduce a new season next to a poster image: add a Text & Image block, set Heading to your season name and leave Heading tag on H3. Add a paragraph or two under Body describing the programme, then choose the poster for Image. On the Layout tab, set Image side to Left and Image width to 1/3 so the poster sits compact beside a wide block of text, and leave Container width on Narrow to keep the reading column tight.
