Venue
Show a single venue's image, address, description, and an info link on an event page.
The Venue block displays the venue tied to an event — its image, address, a short description, and a link to more information. Use it on an event page to tell visitors where the production takes place.
Available on event pages only
This block appears in the block list only when you are building an event page. It reads the venue from the event itself, so the event must already have a venue set. See Create events to assign a venue.
Choose what to show
Each part of the panel can be turned on or off independently.
- Show Image — show the venue's image. On by default.
- Show Address — show the venue's address. On by default.
- Show Description — show the venue's description. Off by default.
- Show Venue Link — show a button linking to the venue's information. On by default.
- Button Label — the text on that button. Set to
Venue Infoby default. Appears only when Show Venue Link is on. - Prefix Label — a short line shown above the venue name, such as
Presented at. Set toPresented atby default.
When the link is on, you can style its button:
- Button Pattern — pick a button style from your theme. Left empty, it uses the first available style. See Buttons and links.
- Icon — an optional icon on the button.
- Icon Position — Before Text or After Text. Before Text by default; the position appears once an icon is chosen.
Lay out the panel
The layout options control how the image and text sit together.
- Image Placement — Left, Right, or Behind the content. Left by default.
- Address Layout — Stacked lines or a single Row. Stacked by default.
- Content Position — where the text sits relative to the image: Top, Center, Bottom, or Space Between. Center by default. Appears when the image is to the left or right, not behind.
- Title Size — the size of the venue name, from H6 up to H1. Set to H3 by default.
Behind the content
Setting Image Placement to Behind puts the image as a full backdrop with the text on a panel over it. This adds a set of panel controls:
- Panel Position — Left, Center, or Right. Left by default.
- Panel Background Color — the panel's fill colour, drawn from your theme's palette.
- Panel Text Color — the colour of the text on the panel.
- Panel Opacity — how see-through the panel is, from 0 to 100 percent. Set to 50 percent by default.
- Panel Width — Fit to the text or Fill the available space. Fit by default.
- Panel Border — None or Bordered. None by default.
These panel controls appear only while Image Placement is set to Behind.
Shared controls
Alongside the options above, this block uses the standard block controls:
- Layout controls — container width and alignment.
- Background and overlay — block background behind the panel.
- Spacing and padding — padding and margin around the block.
- Colour scheme in blocks — text colour for the panel content.

Add the block to the event page
On the event page, add the Venue block. It picks up the venue already set on the event.
Show the address beside the image
Keep Show Image and Show Address on, set Image Placement to Left, and set Address Layout to Stacked so the address lines sit below the venue name.
Add the info button
Leave Show Venue Link on and set Button Label to Venue Info. Pick a Button Pattern from your theme for the button's look. The button links visitors to the full venue details.
