Elevent
Add an Elevent booking button for an event and its performances.
The Elevent block puts a booking button on the page, wired to Elevent so readers can buy tickets for an event. Use it on an event page, or anywhere you want a single, clear call to book through Elevent.
Connect Elevent first
This block appears in the block list only when the Elevent app is connected and synced. Its events and performances are pulled live from Elevent, so the pickers stay empty until the connection is in place.
The button
On the Button tab:
- Title — an optional heading shown above the button.
- Booking Button — required. The call-to-action that starts booking: its label and an optional icon. The booking destination itself comes from Elevent, so there is no address to enter here.
Which event and performances to book
On the Instances tab. By default the block books the event the page belongs to; on any other page, point it at the event you want and narrow which performances it offers.
- Filter Season — optional. Narrow the event list to a single season before you pick the event.
- Event — select an event when the block is used outside an event page. On an event page, leave it empty to use the current event.
- Show Instances — required. All Instances (default) makes the button cover every performance of the event; choose Specific Instances to limit it to particular performances.
- Select Instances — appears when Specific Instances is chosen. Pick the exact performances the button should cover.
Shared controls
Beyond the fields above, the block uses the standard block controls.
- Spacing and padding — adjust the margin and padding around the block.
- Layout controls — set the container width and overall placement.
- Colour scheme in blocks — set the colour scheme for the block.
- Buttons and links — style the booking button and choose its icon.
Example
On an event page, add an Elevent block below the event header. Leave Show Instances on All Instances so the button covers every performance, give the Booking Button a clear label such as "Book tickets" with a ticket icon, and add a short Title above it. For a season landing page that lists several shows, set the Event to the show you want, optionally narrow the choices first with Filter Season, and switch Show Instances to Specific Instances to send readers to a particular date.
