Buttons and links
The link picker and reusable button styling shared by every button and link on your site.
Every clickable element on your site — a button, a navigation item, a link inside text — shares the same link picker. Buttons add a layer of styling on top.
Setting up a link
Wherever you add a link, you fill in the same options.
Write the label
Label is the text the visitor sees and clicks. On links that allow it, an Icon picker sits beside the label so you can add a small icon to the text.
Choose where it points
Pick Internal link to point at something on your own site, or Custom URL for any external or absolute web address.
- Internal link shows a Document to link to picker. Search and select one of your own pages, events, people, seasons, series, works, venues, organizations, or posts. Linking this way keeps the address correct even if you later rename or move the target. On multi-site setups, a Site option lets you choose which site the entry belongs to.
- Custom URL shows a Custom URL field where you type the full web address.
Decide how it opens
Set Target to Current Tab to open in the same tab, or New Tab to open in a new browser tab. Links open in the same tab by default.
Those are all the link options. Every button described below sits on top of them.
Button patterns
A button pattern is a saved set of button styling defined for your theme. Instead of styling each button by hand, you set the look once as a pattern and reuse it on every button. Change the pattern and every button using it updates at once.
Button patterns live with your theme. Each pattern has its name plus two tabs of styling: Appearance and Hover.
Available patterns come from your active theme. See Themes for what a theme controls and Theme settings for site-wide appearance.

You can also add an Icon. Once an icon is chosen, an Icon Position option appears, set to Before Text or After Text — it defaults to Before Text.
Hover
The Hover tab controls how the button changes when a visitor points at it.

Buttons on a block
A button in your page content can reuse a theme pattern or carry a one-off look. The Button block, for example, has two sections:
- Link — the link options above, with the text labelled Button Link.
- Pattern — pick a saved button pattern, then optionally add an Icon just for this button. Once an icon is chosen, Icon Position appears and defaults to Before Text. If you leave the pattern unset, the first available pattern from your theme is used.
Reuse a theme pattern for a consistent look across the site, or override the styling for a single button where you need it to stand out.
Icons throughout the builder — on buttons, logos, navigation, and links — use the same icon picker, so adding an icon works the same way everywhere.
