Basker Docs

Copyright

Show an automatic copyright line at the bottom of your footer.

The Copyright block adds a single copyright line to your footer — for example, © 2026 Your Organization. All rights reserved. Add it to the bottom row of the footer, usually beside Legal Links and Charity Registration.

The line is written for you. There is no text to type — Basker fills in the current year and your organization's name, and updates the year automatically each January.

What it shows

The block produces one of two lines, depending on whether your organization has a name set:

  • With a name: © 2026 Your Organization. All rights reserved.
  • Without a name: © 2026. All rights reserved.

The year is always the current year, and the name comes from your organization record (the same name shown elsewhere on your site), not from the block.

On Basker-built sites, the block also shows a small Powered by Basker link beside the copyright line. This is part of how the line renders and is not a control you can toggle in the block.

Styling

The block has a single Style tab with two options.

Size — the text size of the line. Choose 10px, 12px, 14px, 16px, or 18px. The default is 12px.

Case — leave at Default to show the line as written, or choose Uppercase to render it in capitals.

Placement and surrounding spacing come from the footer row you drop it into; the block itself has no layout, spacing, background, or colour options.

Example

A 12px, default-case copyright line sitting at the very bottom of the footer, next to your privacy and terms links:

In the footer, add a Copyright block to the bottom row, alongside your Legal Links.

Confirm the organization name

The line uses your organization's name automatically. If the name is wrong or missing, update it on your organization record rather than in this block.

Set the size and case

Open the Style tab and leave Size at 12px and Case at Default for a small, unobtrusive line. Switch Case to Uppercase if your footer uses all-caps styling.
