Donation
Invite visitors to give, wired to your ticketing provider as a button, inline form, or list.
The Donation block puts a giving prompt on the page — a donate button, an inline form with suggested amounts, or a list of options — connected to your ticketing provider so visitors can contribute. Use it on appeal, support, or campaign pages.
The fields you see depend on which provider you choose, so start there.
Choosing the provider
The Ticketing Provider option at the top of the block sets where donations are sent. General is the default.
- General — a plain donate button linking to wherever you give. No provider connection needed.
- Elevent — drive the action from a giving option set up in Elevent.
- Spektrix — embed a giving form, list, or button backed by a Spektrix fund.
- Tessitura — link to a Tessitura contribution.
Shared fields
These appear regardless of provider:
- Title — an optional heading shown above the prompt.
- Donation Button — the call-to-action button: its label, appearance, and an optional icon. Shown for General and Tessitura; for Spektrix it appears only when the display style is set to Button; it is hidden for Elevent, where the selected giving option drives the action.
General
Shows the Title and Donation Button only — a straightforward button linking to your giving destination.
Elevent
- Donation — select the Elevent giving option to use. This selection drives the button, so the separate Donation Button is hidden.
Spektrix
- Description — optional intro text shown with the form.
- Donation Fund — required. Select the Spektrix fund that receives contributions.
- Display Type — how the prompt appears, Inline (default), List, or Button.
For Inline and List, these extra fields control the amounts and labels:
- Quick Amount Buttons — suggested amounts donors can tap, each with an Amount.
- Allow Custom Amount Entry — let donors type their own amount. On by default.
- Submit Button Label — defaults to Donate.
- Clear Button Label — defaults to Clear.
These apply to all Spektrix display styles:
- Default Amount — the amount filled in to start.
- Forward To URL — an optional address to send donors to after they give.
- Success Message — shown after a successful donation. Defaults to Thank you for your donation!
- Error Message — shown if something goes wrong. Defaults to Something went wrong. Please try again.
When Display Type is Button, the suggested-amount buttons, custom-amount toggle, and form labels fall away and the block simply links out using the Donation Button.
Tessitura
- Description — optional intro text shown with the prompt.
- Contribution ID — required. The Tessitura contribution to use for donations.
- Source Number — optional. A source number to pass through in the donation link.
The Donation Button is shown for this provider.
Shared controls
Beyond the fields above, the Donation block uses the standard block controls.
- Spacing and padding — adjust the margin and padding around the block.
- Colour scheme in blocks — set the colour scheme for the prompt.
- Buttons and links — style the donate button and choose its icon.
Example
To run a campaign appeal through Spektrix, add a Donation block and set Ticketing Provider to Spektrix. Pick the campaign's Donation Fund, leave Display Type on Inline, and add a few Quick Amount Buttons — say 10, 25, and 50 — so most donors can give in one tap. Keep Allow Custom Amount Entry on for anything in between, set a Default Amount to nudge the typical gift, and write a short Description explaining what the donations fund.
