Analytics keys

Give a block a stable name in your analytics reports with an Analytics Key and Label.

Every block has an Analytics section in its Settings, collapsed until you open it. It lets you give the block a steady, human-readable name so it shows up clearly in your Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager reports. Both fields are optional, and leaving them blank changes nothing about how the block looks or behaves.

Analytics Key

The Analytics Key is the name this block appears under in your reports. Keep it short, lowercase, and stable — for example homepage-featured-events.

Because you choose it, the key stays the same even if you rename, move, or rebuild the block later. Use the key you chose — not any automatically generated name — when you build reports or tag rules, so reports stay consistent over time.

Analytics Label

The Analytics Label is a friendlier display name for the same block, such as Homepage featured events. Use it when you want a more readable name to sit alongside the key in a report.

How the values are used

Once your site is connected, the key and label are available to your Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager setup, where you target them in your triggers and event configuration. You do not need to touch any code on the page — set the key and label and save.

Connect your account first. The keys only appear in reporting once Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is set up. See Google Analytics.
